We’re looking for local Champions who make a difference in our community!
Do you know a caring individual, group or business that is concerned and committed to developing and promoting innovative and sustainable community resources that nurture healthy children, healthy families and healthy communities?
Our Children, Our Future / Nos enfants, notre avenir is now accepting nominations for the Champions for Children awards. Nominations are being accepted from February 1 until 4:30 p.m. on February 27, 2009. The winners of this year’s Champions for Children awards will be recognized and honored at our Champions for Children Luncheon on March 31, 2009.
The five award categories for 2009 are:
Volunteer
Group
Service provider
Business
Junior
A nomination consists of a completed Official Nomination Form and a separate attachment which includes a description between 50 - 500 words highlighting the nominee’s contributions.

Matteo Raso – Junior category
A/Cst James Woodward – Volunteer category
Lois Mahon and Dr. Burke Baird – Service Provider category
The Azilda Let Them be Kids Committee – Group category
Sears Canada – Business category
| Rules and Regulations: 1. Material submitted with or in support of any nomination shall be received by Our Children, Our Future / Nos enfants, notre avenir on the condition that: a) the organization shall not return such material or any portion thereof to the nominee or the nominators. b) the organization may make such disclosure of the names of nominees and their nominators and of the contribution disclosed in such material as the organization considers appropriate. c) No claim shall be made and no action shall be brought against Our Children, Our Future/Nos enfants, notre avenir, its Directors, Officers, employees or members of the Selection Committee arising out of the use made of such material or of any such disclosure. 2. All nominations must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. February 27, 2009. 3. It is understood that the selection committee will review this nomination for the purpose of awarding the Champion for Children awards. As part of this process, the nominator may be asked to provide additional information in support of this nomination. 4. Staff and Board members of Our Children, Our Future / Nos enfants, notre avenir will not take part in the nomination process. 5. The decision of the award Selection Committee is final. |
